After passing a series of intensive tests lasted several weeks, as per our internal program for continuous reduction of the environmental impact required by\u00a0the\u00a0ISO 14001<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0certification, we started\u00a0 a top-notch system\u00a0for dust\u00a0monitoring and\u00a0reduction in compliance with UNI 11304:2008 fitted with 9 probes located into chimney exhausts of grinding and heat treatment departments, plus other 2 probes to\u00a0check the indoor air quality for each department.\u00a0Every probe\u00a0is monitored in real time\u00a0by a dedicated control station who\u00a0deals with the continuous data recording and automated warning messages\u00a0whenever threshold values are met.<\/span><\/p>\n

The facility, wholly designed and developed by\u00a0Tribotecna<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0relies\u00a0on transfer of electrostatic charge phenomenon (triboelectric effect<\/a><\/strong>). Dust particles of any material and size, when transported by a gaseous flow,\u00a0become charged with static electricity. By placing an electrode within the flow, it\u00a0will be\u00a0able to capture charges for collision as electrostatic induction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The monitoring system is designed to operate at peak performance in the presence of humidity from 0 to 80% (noncondensing) with a temperature from -20\u00b0C to +60\u00b0C. Each control unit, dedicated to\u00a0amplify and process the signal from the monitoring probes, is\u00a0fitted into a special container with\u00a0IP-65<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0protection.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our corporate\u00a0directive\u00a0sets\u00a0the dust alarm monitoring system threshold value to 50% of the maximum value allowed by law (10 mg\/m3). The internal maintenance team is fully trained to immedately manage and fix the situation in case of alarm, while keeping their eyes on the dust emission trend on a weekly basis.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
