WHAT IS A SUPPORT BRACKET

Support brackets are metal components designed to hold, fasten, or guide pipes and elements within thermo-hydraulic systems. Their function is to ensure mechanical stability, absorb vibrations, and facilitate system installation and maintenance. They come in various forms—such as U-brackets, anchor brackets, pipe clamps, or angle supports—depending on the specific application requirements.

Mollificio Valli manufactures fully customized support brackets based on the client’s technical drawings. Tailored design allows each bracket to be adapted to the geometric and functional characteristics of the system, ensuring accurate and reliable assembly. The company is equipped to produce both prototypes and large series, maintaining high quality standards thanks to the use of state-of-the-art CNC machinery.

MATERIALS

Support brackets are made from selected materials to ensure mechanical strength, durability, and compatibility with thermo-hydraulic environments:

• AISI 301 and AISI 304 stainless steel, in accordance with EN 10088-2: offer excellent corrosion resistance, ideal for humid or aggressive environments.
• Carbon steel (+A, +LC, +CR), in accordance with EN 10132-4: ensures good machinability and mechanical performance.
• Low-carbon steel, according to EN 10111 and EN 10130: suitable for general applications where high corrosion resistance is not required.
• Copper alloys: brass and phosphor bronze per EN 1652 standard: provide good thermal and electrical conductivity as well as moderate corrosion resistance.

SURFACE TREATMENTS

To enhance mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, Mollificio Valli offers a range of surface treatments upon customer request:

• Trivalent zinc plating (white or yellow): protects against corrosion and ensures a consistent aesthetic finish.
• Zinc-nickel plating: provides high resistance to corrosion and wear, ideal for demanding and aggressive environments.
• Deltaprotekt®: a zinc flake coating that offers cathodic protection and chemical resistance.
• Electropolishing: improves surface finish and corrosion resistance of stainless steels.
